Lederhose Short for Women Handmade with Blouse and Stockings

The idea of this piece was “ok, lederhose for girls, let’s also make it girly at the top and quite traditional under it”. The folkloric blouse was made of cotton/elastane, square neckline with drawstring, size M-L. A sewn-on imitation of real dirndl corset makes the “situation” more interesting, I guess, at first optically. The “corset-part” is made of embroidered black tulle over silky red fabric. It all looks chic on white background and even matches the shorts-lederhose. The lacing is sewn onto the fabric so that silky ribbon doesn’t pull out all the time, and the metal buttons are real Bavarian traditional ones. The measurements of the blouse are the chest circumference of 102cm and waist 89cm. It’s almost square with minimal waistline, almost not visible. Let’s jump to the lederhose! Not made of leather but of quite thick canvas that has a bit of denim, it’s a mid-rise, so when worn it starts more from your upper hips. Although it doesn’t close exactly like traditional lederhose, I “compensated” that look with two sets of handapplied floral embroidery and circling embroidery over it as additional deco. I thought that a perfect detail would be a real Bavarian leather belt with a metal heart in the middle, that closes at the back (when going to the loo, you open it at the back and pull the right side out to take it off easy). You can see a similar applied embroidery at the back, on pockets. Although we already have a belt, you have a choice “the suspenders, or no suspenders”, but believe me, with both you’ll still look elegant and not over the top. At the end, a pair of traditional knee-length, knitted stockings with the same rose-pattern as lederhose, will certainly complete your looks…and the necklace too! When it comes to the dimensions of the lederhose, officially it’s a size EU L, but it’s better that I give you some numbers, and the rest I’ll mark and upload as a photo. The waist circumference is around 100cm (waist is mid-rise), the total length of the lederhose is 28cm at the front and 32 at the back, the width of each leg opening is 68cm.
